I realized I haven't read anyone's blog lately, so I had to catch up.
Re: your sad mystery - It's not depressing if good things happen later in the story, but if it was going the way you said, then maybe it was a good idea to stop it where you did.
That's neat that you guys went to work with mom. What did you do with the maps and folders?
